The Red Star Poker client is elegant, user-friendly and has multiple options. The poker site is using the new 2.0 poker client, a poker software of very good quality overall. Navigating into the lobby is easy and the filtering options are numerous. You will find all the industry standard features you may need as a player: a four colour deck, the possibility to auto-post blinds and to auto-rebuy at the tables, an option letting you decide whether or not you want to display avatars, etc. The software is fully customisable and windows are resizeable to multi-table smoothly. The Revolution Gaming network has a pretty small player pool, and you will often have to play against the same players on Red Star Poker. For the majority, the players you will come accross will be tight players if you do not play at peak times but we do not think this should hold you back when making your decision whether to play on this site or not. Games are clearly not unbeatable if you are a solid, aggressive player. The fact that you can receive a high percentage of rakeback, coupled with a great bonus at sign-up, a good loyalty program and lucrative promotions totally makes up for it. The possibility to table-select well on smaller networks can be problematic sometimes, therefore we would advise you to play at peak times, where it will be easier to find weaker opponents.

Red Star Poker will reward you in many ways as a player and as you will see, their loyalty program is really comprehensive. Additionally to the high 36% rakeback and the $1,500 bonus at
sign-up, there are three different types of rewards at Red Star: Gold Cards, Gold Chips and Loyalty Levels. There are no VIP statuses.
Gold Cards
Gold Cards are earned in real money ring games and are distributed randomly when approximately $20 of rake is taken by the poker room. The higher you play obviously, the more Gold Cards will come your way. Some cards are more valuable than others and you can use them in different ways. You can:
- use them for in the Match & Win promotion when it is running. In this promotion, you will need a correct combination of cards to redeem one the ten prizes of the month consisting of cash, bonuses or entries for sizeable tourneys.
- use them to enter Gold Cards tournaments.
- sell them in the Exchange, a Gold Card marketplace.
Gold Chips
Gold Chips are earned in connection with Frequent Player Points (100 FPPs = 1 Gold Chip). The more Frequent Player Points you acquire, the more Gold Chips you win and the faster they fall in your pocket. With your Gold Chips, you can:
- buy into freerolls and satellites to big live and online tournaments.
- play Sit & Gos.

Loyalty Levels
While collecting Frequent Player Points, you actually complete tiers, advancing you to a different loyalty level once the required number of tiers at a given level is being reached. There are not any redeeming features with loyalty levels and you receive a prize instantly every time you complete one. In total, there are 50 loyalty levels and the more of them you complete, the more the rewards go up in value. You lose a tier only if you are above level 10 and if you do not earn more than 3 Gold Chips over a two month period.
For each level, there are incentives for you to build it faster with both a Turbo reward and a Super Turbo reward (along with the standard reward). You receive Gold Chips at the early levels up to the tenth. After level 10, you receive cash rewards directly into your account. Basically, loyalty levels are additional rakeback in your pocket!
Overall, the Red Star Poker loyalty program a pretty rewarding one. Additionally to 54-63% rakeback during the bonus period, you really get excellent value for your play in the long run on top of your weekly 36% rakeback and on what you can also receive through promotions at Red Star. The only disappointment perhaps is that you cannot claim bigger bonus cash rewards with your Gold Chips in the store. However, Red Star Poker offer reload bonuses rather frequently. As mentioned earlier in this section, you can also exchange your Gold Chips for tournament tickets in the Red Star Store. The store has a couple of nice items to choose from: gift certificates, tournament tickets, poker educational products, etc.
