Poker Rakeback From Rakeback1st

Poker rakeback was introduced a couple of years back by some poker sites as an incentive to recruit new players and/or retain existing players, as the online poker market became more and more competitive.

If you are a serious online poker player, you already know what poker rakeback is. Receiving a free percentage of what you have raked back is always going to add to your win rate. This is not neglectable in today’s tougher games. Rakeback is simply … free money. Did you actually know you are being charged by poker rooms for every poker hand you play online?

At Rakeback1st, our goal is to help our players maximise their total rakeback return by providing big poker promotions on the best poker rooms and networks. We also strive to provide helpful information so our Members can boost their total rakeback return the best they can. Go find out about our best rakeback offers now.

Poker Rakeback | Mechanism.

Let us explain you how poker rakeback works, technically. As you will see, it is extremely easy to understand.

Poker rooms take around 5% of any pot as their commission, either online or offline. That’s the rake and without it, online poker rooms would not make a single dime. As a rakeback player, you can receive a percentage of this returned as poker rakeback. This is cashback to you, paid directly to your poker account every week, or every month depending on the poker room. Through Rakeback1st, you can get rakeback. You get paid to play, whether you win or lose.

For much more detailed information on how rakeback works, please feel free to read our what is rakeback page. There, you will also learn why poker rakeback is so important when you play online poker. You can also visit our rakeback FAQ section.

Poker Rakeback Calculations.

Poker is all about money, and you are probably interested in knowing how much rakeback you can earn depending on how much rake you generate, on a monthly basis. Always keep in mind that what matters the most when it comes to your total rakeback earnings is the amount of rake you generate, as per the rakeback percent the poker room you are playing at rewards you with.

The below table should help you get some answers*:

Poker Rakeback
Blinds Rake Rakeback % Rakeback
$0.10-0.25 | 6-max $520 30% $156
$0.10-0.25 | Full ring $469 30% $140
$0.25-0.50 | 6-max $1,040 30% $312
$0.25-0.50 | Full ring $938 30% $281
$0.50-1.00 | 6-max $2,080 30% $624
$0.50-1.00 | Full ring $1,875 30% $562
$1-2 | 6-max $4,160 30% $1,248
$1-2 | Full ring $3,750 30% $1,125
$2-4 | 6-max $8,320 30% $2,496
$2-4 | Full ring $7,500 30% $2,250

* Assumption was made 25,000 raked hands are played. 5% * Average pot size * Raked hands / Players = Rake.

These numbers are based on flat rakeback percentages players receive when signing up for a rakeback deal through Rakeback1st, and they do depend on their Monthly Generated Rake (MGR). These rake amounts are not written in stone (rake calculation methods differ from room to room as you will see in the next section), and you can boost your rakeback return with exclusive poker promotions reputable rakeback sites like us have to offer to you as a player. Rake races/chases as well as good poker promotions some rooms are running can clearly add a very nice amount of money to your rakeback earnings, month after month. This is without counting poker reload bonuses or sign-up ones. On the right poker room, additional rakeback can go up to 30%.

Several factors make a good rakeback deal indeed, this is not all about the poker rakeback percent as was just explained. At Rakeback1st, you will without a doubt find the best rakeback deals available in the online poker market. Take a look at this page to see what is our best rakeback deal on each of the most reputable poker networks – and more importantly why. You probably won’t regret it :)

Poker Rakeback | Rake Calculation Methods.

When opting for a given rakeback deal, you will receive what is called a ‘flat’ rakeback percentage on what you have raked (i.e. 33% on Cake Poker). No matter how much play, you will always receive your rakeback payments according to that precise percentage.

Online poker rooms use different rake calculations methods to calculate rake. It is important to note that each of the methods we are going to describe reward different playing styles. You can play the same amount of hands or tables at two different poker sites, and receive a different amount of rakeback for your play. Always keep in mind to choose a rakeback deal with a rake method in line with your style of play or preferred game type, with the sole aim to maximise your rakeback earnings and be rewarded as much as possible for your time spent at the tables.

1. Dealt rake calculation method

This is the easiest method for calculating rake generated. With this method, poker rooms assume that once you are dealt in a poker hand, you have contributed to the pot. Therefore, you are given an equal share of the rake that has been taken. Even if you fold your hand, you are allocated this share.

Example: $4 of rake is taken by the room with 10 players having been dealt cards. With the dealt method, each player receives $0.40 in MGR (Monthly Generated Rake).

Poker rooms: Cake Poker, Red Star Poker, PokerWorld, Broadway Tables

Rewards the players: who play tight and do not like not take too many risks.

2. Average contributed rake calculation method

This rake method is similar to the dealt cards method in terms of calculation. However, you must have contributed at least something to the pot to receive an ‘online poker rakeback share’ of it. If you fold, you are not considered as having paid rake and are not to receive anything.

Example: $10 of rake is taken with 10 players who were dealt cards, four of which contribute to the pot (including both blinds). Each player would get credit for $2.50 in MGR.

Poker rooms: Genting Poker, Titan Poker, Mansion Poker, Betfred Poker

Rewards the players: who play tight and do not like not take too many risks. Players who, for example, cannot play on a site which uses the dealt method, a method which is better than the average contributed one for tight players.

3. Weighted-contributed rake calculation method

Weighted-contributed is similar to average contributed, but is different in the fact that it allocates MGR based on how much of the pot you contributed to. You simply get allocated a ‘weighted’ proportion of your contribution.

Example: three players contribute money to a poker pot. The pot is $200 with a $10 rake being taken by the poker site. Player 1 and player 2 each contributed $80 and player 3 contributed the remaining $40. Player 1 and 2 receive 40% of the rake in MGR ($4) whereas Player 3 is allocated the remaining 20% ($2).

Poker rooms: PokerStars, Carbon Poker, Black Chip Poker, Poker Nordica, GR88.com, Party Poker, WPT Poker, Minted Poker, Cellsino Poker, NoiQ Poker, Paradise Poker, InterPoker, Fortune Poker, Poker Heaven, Unibet Poker

Rewards the players: who play a lot of hand.s and see many flops.
